Delores Sasu is a Licensed Pharmacist in several states. She completed her Pre-Pharmacy degree at The University of Maryland and attended Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy at Long Island University. Delores has been a Pharmacist for 10 years and in that time has worked for CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens Pharmacy, Costco Wholesale Pharmacy and a few Independent Pharmacies. Delores was born in Ghana, West Africa and moved to Bethesda, Maryland over 20 twenty years ago. Delores’ parents and In-Laws are Baby Boomers who surfer from Diabetes, Hypertension, Glaucoma, and Cancer amongst other ailments. Her husband of 9 years, Sean, has Crohn’s Disease and has been living with chronic pain since his early Twenties. Delores also has 2 exuberant young boys who never seize to amaze and entertain her. The medical challenges that Delores’ family, friends and loved ones face are right in line with that of the average American Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Sister. Being a Pharmacist, although it is a small part of who Delores is, has been a benefit to those dear to her. What Delores has found is that those close to her and the patients she counsel at work often feel more comfortable seeking her advice over that of their Physicians who generally do not have the time and/or availability. Delores has always wanted to write a book as a way of sharing her knowledge and experience with the world and yet she has never had the time to do so. It was her husband who suggested that she start this Pharmacy blog as a way to share her professional advice, opinions and experience with those seeking information as well as those wishing to pursue a career in Pharmacy.
